*International Women’s Day Grant Program 2013*

International Women’s Day (IWD), observed every March 8th, is an opportunity to celebrate progress towards equality for women and to profile the achievements and contributions of women leaders as mentors and change-makers throughout history.

The Status of Women Office in the Ministry of Social Services is pleased to offer grant funding to assist women’s groups and community-based organizations to collaborate and plan an International Women’s Day community event.

*Grant Criteria:*

– The maximum grant for an individually sponsored activity is $300. Grant amounts to partnering organizations will vary, based on available funds.

– Only non-profit organizations that provide services to women and/or work toward the equality of women qualify.

– A budget is to be submitted along with the application indicating how the grant will be used.

– All activities must be open to the public and promote the leadership roles of women and girls. The 2013 theme is *“Women as Mentors: Building Leadership Together”.*

– The activity must take place during the month of March, preferably on or around International Women’s Day – March 8th.

– Proposed event must fit with the theme *“**Women as Mentors: Building Leadership Together”.*

– Completed applications must be postmarked, faxed, emailed or hand delivered to the Ministry of Social Services, Status of Women Office, 1920 Broad Street, REGINA SK S4P 3V6 or status.women@gov.sk.ca no later than December 31, 2012.

– Successful applicants will be notified by letter no later than January 31, 2013.
